Additional Info

Professor Psofogiannakis received his Ph.D. from the University of Ottawa in 2007, on the topic of modeling and simulation of direct hydrocarbon fuel cells. In the period 2008-2013, he was the recipient a Marie-Curie fellowship and worked at the University of Crete (Greece) on DFT modeling of materials for hydrogen storage by adsorption. In the period 2013-2015, he worked as a post-doc researcher at Pennsylvania State University, where he developed and applied reactive Molecular Dynamics force-fields (ReaxFF) for material science and catalytic applications.

He returned to Ottawa in 2013, where he has been teaching a variety of Chemical Engineering courses, including: Catalysis by Metals and Zeolites, Interfacial Phenomena in Engineering, Electrochemical Processes, Computational Methods in Chemical Engineering, Introduction to Chemical Process Analysis and Design, Phase and Chemical Reaction Equilibria.
